This virus has been hard on everybody. Since April, we’ve been told to wear a mask and social distance. We were locked down and then partially reopened. Everybody managed to have some semblance of summer. The cases started going up. Once again we’re locked down and told to avoid family and friends. I’ve watched friends struggle with businesses, and children not being able to go to school. We were told to cancel Thanksgiving celebrations and now Christmas.

Now on the front page of your paper, I get lectured about taking a vaccine (“Do what’s best and take the covid-19 vaccine,” Dec. 15, TribLIVE). If I refuse, I’m un-American and uncaring. I especially like the part where you say that you usually don’t do opinion pieces on news pages.

I think your paper is nothing but opinion. Just report the news and keep your opinions out of it.
