If you’ve ever wondered why the print/broadcast media tend to skew politically leftward, consider this possibility: It may be that their ideas don’t stand on their own merits, so they have to expend considerable effort trying to convince everyone that they are in fact good ideas.
To illustrate: Imagine someone cooking you a meal that tastes terrible, but they endlessly try to convince you that it is actually delicious, and you’re just ignorant. Oh, and if you disagree, they call you a racist.
