Letter to the editor: Left still can't get over Trump's win
Democrat Pam Iovino won the hotly contested Senate race in the 37th District and what happened the next day? Nothing. No angry mobs roaming the streets and picketing the Senate office. No paid protesters with prepared signs marching. No calls of voter fraud. No blocked highways. No local celebrities crying foul to the media. No cries of gender discrimination.
Yes, I voted for Republican D. Raja. It’s unfortunate that he lost, but I took my lawn sign down the next morning and removed the Raja bumper sticker from my car. However, two years after the presidential election, I still see Hillary and of course “Resist” on cars, and Hillary signs in windows.
The Democrats in Washington have adopted the “Resist” mantra and seem to work harder every day to block the president instead of looking after the good of the country, nor have they made any attempt at compromise.
The left has become a crazed angry rabble. They lost an election and, like a 2-year-old who wants candy instead of dinner, some act out — some violently.
Much of the left has adopted the actions of anarchists. Acts taken after the presidential election reminded me of the cultural revolution in China and the “little red book.” Very troubling !
Elections, not an angry mob, should determine outcomes in a democracy. I guess today that’s only true if a Democrat wins
