Before you go to bed tonight, ask yourself the following questions:
1) If drug cartels controlled your community, what risks would you take to find safe haven for your children?
2) If you were diagnosed with lung cancer and did not have health insurance, how would you pay for chemotherapy?
3) How would you feel if your unarmed teenage son was shot and killed by the police?
4) If your daughter was incarcerated at the county jail or state prison, how would you want her to be treated?
5) What if the only shelter you had from the next big winter storm was a cardboard box under a local bridge?
6) Would you love your child any less if he or she came out as gay or transgender? How would you want other people to treat your child?
7) How would you feel if people called you a “terrorist” simply because of where or how you worshiped God?
When you wake up tomorrow morning, resolve to quit judging and to start empathizing; to quit condemning and to start accepting; to quit hating and to start loving.
