As the one-year anniversary approaches of Ireland overturning its restrictive 1983 ban on abortion with a 66% vote, Catholic Irish women jumped for joy at the right to terminate their unwanted children. The Catholic women of Ireland have spoken, but they know not what they have done. That is what happens on the slippery slope of liberalism when you open the door. As a male, I am grateful I will never be tested with the sin of abortion.

What is not mentioned is that Ireland is one of the few European countries where births exceed deaths and they have no need for third-world immigration to grow their population. America’s hundreds of thousands of abortions per year are almost matched by the number of illegal immigrants crossing our borders.

Here in Westmoreland, our population drops by 900 residents per year, yet there is no mention of the nearly 400 yearly abortions that could replace half of this shortfall. Politicians, as usual, don’t see the bigger picture.
