Letter to the editor: Life should go on in Pa.

Tribune-Review

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, spending most of my adult life in McCandless. Listening to the news out of my hometown is depressing. Gov. Tom Wolf continues to prevent any semblance of a normal life for many small business owners.

Unemployment, still very high, could change if the restaurants, bars and other small businesses were permitted to open to a relatively normal level of operation. The restaurant owners are begging to have the governor decrease restrictions, and recently the PIAA decided to break from Wolf’s recommendations. If only the rest of the electorate would rise up and get this state back in gear.

By the way, South Carolina went through “mitigation” and opened with mild restrictions. Life is much more like normal and “pleasant.” Yes, covid-19 is present, but life goes on like it should.
