Letter to the editor: Lingg best candidate for Murrysville Council

Tribune-Review

November is near and we are preparing to elect a new council. Jamie Lingg is seeking a second term. She is the one candidate who stands out. I recommend you cast your vote for Lingg.

I have known Lingg most of her life and have followed her on council. She brought a fresh perspective to every issue. She always investigates each issue from various perspective and tries to reach a consensus in the best interest of our community. She did this without compromising her values and those of our community. She stands her ground and does not back away from tough decisions.

Our polarized political landscape has become a minefield for anyone trying to make decisions. What I observed about Lingg is that she makes her decisions based on the facts at hand. She questions that data to confirm its accuracy and then acts accordingly.

Lingg has pledged to maintain Murrysville’s rural character and has consistently voted to do so. Other candidates are pushing for rezoning that would allow for high-density Monroeville-style housing developments along with the inevitable tax increases and infrastructure burden.

The next council will approve the comprehensive plan which will redraw all zoning and permanently alter the landscape we all love.

Vote for Jamie Lingg to maintain what makes Murrysville unique.
