Letter to the editor: Lingg best choice for Murrysville Council
Jamie Lingg is running for reelection to Murrysville Council. We first met her years ago when she was knocking on doors in our neighborhood discussing her campaign for a council seat. We had a very nice discussion and were impressed by her honest openness and desire to keep Murrysville fiscally sound without placing onerous tax increases on hard-working residents and retired citizens. She was elected and she has kept her word.
In the business world there are four words that resonate with all conscientious, hard-working people: “atta boy” and “atta girl.” These words are used to represent praise to someone, especially to encourage them to continue doing a great job.
In the political world most people, once elected, seek “atta boys” or “atta girls” from their political overseers. Not Lingg; she only seeks such positive confirmation from her constituents. And she does.
To the chagrin of the political overseers, she not is not afraid to ask tough questions (you know, the tough questions that seem to get silently overlooked). She prepares for council meetings with hard facts and well-thought-out answers. She has been unabashedly forthright in keeping her word regarding fiscal responsibility to residents.
Lingg wants to keep Murrysville moving forward while maintaining the values that our community residents cherish. Weare voting to reelect Jamie Lingg to Murrysville Council.
