Since being elected to Murrysville Council, Jamie Lingg has worked to protect citizens’ safety, homeowners’ rights and taxpayers’ dollars. Great generalizations, but facts speak loudest.

Please, read on … .

Originally, Murrysville Council planned unisex park bathrooms for simultaneous use by men, women and children. The risk with that, especially for children, had catastrophic potential. Lingg went to bat for citizens’ safety — the simultaneous-use unisex bathrooms were blocked.

Secondly, council attempted to stop homeowners from using their residential- area homes as short-term rentals for supplemental income. Lingg argued this was a permitting issue, similar to long-term rentals. She went to bat for homeowners’ rights — short-term rental permits are now available.

Thirdly, a recommended $2 million-plus amphitheater sparked multiple cost- deliberating discussions. Furthermore, the proposed area’s traffic concerns prompted Lingg to request a sensible traffic study, yet council denied it. The proposal is tabled for now, but Lingg’s persistent probing shows going to bat for taxpayers’ dollars is a priority — genuine leadership.

Funny thing about the Republican committee and their “endorsements” — proven candidates aren’t necessarily chosen. Lingg was not.

Questionable political agendas trumped established leadership and community benefit.

Downright confounding.

That’s OK. Jamie Lingg only needs your endorsement May 20. Please vote.
