Letter to the editor: Look at Biden, Trump accomplishments before voting

Tribune-Review

Debates are a poor way to determine votes, especially when one side ignores the truth. In the recent debate, President Biden stumbled early while affected by a cold, while former President Trump spouted nonsense with one lie after another.

“After-birth abortion?” This from a man whose party is responsible for an increase in infant deaths in the hundreds and likely the thousands since Roe v. Wade was overturned by Trump’s SCOTUS. In Texas alone in the year after it passed laws severely restricting health care for pregnant women, there was an increase of over 250 infant deaths in comparison to the previous year. The problem of infant deaths is on Republicans!

Then Trump talked about “Black jobs.” Clearly, to me, he thinks that Black Americans have and should have poorer jobs than everyone else. Totally racist.

Voters should look at records of accomplishment. Biden got the infrastructure bill passed that Trump promised and never delivered. Biden was able to reduce prescription drug costs for seniors and would have done so for everyone if Republicans in Congress hadn’t gotten in the way.
