Joe Biden, are you familiar with the Ten Commandments?
The fifth commandment is “Thou shall not murder” — translated loosely as “Respect human life.”
Unborn babies are human lives. Abortion is the killing of another human being. The unborn baby must be recognized formally as a human life before birth, by the government.
You and the Democratic Party seem to believe that the Ten Commandments are the Ten Suggestions. I also suspect that God is not first in your lives. The commandment “Love God above all things” can’t be replaced by proclaiming yourselves god of your own lives. Most of the Democratic Party is suffering from “truth decay.”
We must stop abortion as a method of birth control. The government should do all it can to prevent pregnancies through birth control education and supply birth control to all women who need it, free.
Being a conservative Democrat, I think the liberal left is lost. The radical right Republicans are also lost. The middle ground is required.
Abortion should only be necessary if the life of the mother or baby is in jeopardy or rape/incest of the mother. We should be considerate of her desires in that case. The family should be involved in the decision.
