The letter “Biden better than Trump” (Oct. 25, TribLIVE) was a weak response of the “Are you happy now?” variety. I’ll just say you debate like a typical liberal … no content, just name-calling and generalizations.

President Trump’s administration took a laissez-faire approach to governing, and our economy and our nation were booming until covid hit. And here are a few of his accomplishments:

• Signed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act — the largest tax reform package in decades.

• Nearly doubled the standard deduction, and doubled the child tax credit.

• Cut the business tax rate from 35% — the highest in the developed world — down to 21%.

Eliminated nearly eight old regulations for every one new regulation adopted.

• Created more than 1.2 million manufacturing and construction jobs.

• Ended NAFTA and replaced it with a much better USMCA.

And for the first time in nearly 70 years, the U.S. has become a net energy exporter.

Let me add, we had no wars during his presidency.
