Letter to the editor: Losing our freedoms

Thank you, John Gregory Parks, for your letter “Vaxxed and unvaxxed divisions” (Jan. 27, TribLIVE). I’ve been saying for two years that we’re losing our freedom due to the dictators of government instilling such fear over something only God can control.

Why are we the people allowing elected politicians to take away our freedom? Weren’t they elected to speak for the people, not control the people? When are we going to stand up and say “enough is enough”? How can we allow the government to pay and threaten people to get the shot? We are losing our freedom to speak and think for ourselves, all guaranteed in the Constitution.

Freedom is what makes America great, not fear or control. Only time will tell what harm has been done to our country, our citizens and our freedom. Pray for our country.
