This time we have a choice. On May 18, a special election will be held to elect the representative of the 59th District of the Pennsylvania House. All registered voters can vote in this election — Republicans, Democrats and independents — and they can vote by mail or in person.

Voters have a choice between two candidates, and Mariah Fisher is one of them. Fisher grew up in this district and is now raising her young family here. A Ligonier Borough Council member, she has governing experience and has listened to all of her constituents. On council, her voting reflects what is good for all of the people she serves. These are the same standards and principles she will embrace if elected to the House of Representatives.

A vote for Fisher as representative of the 59th District is a vote for someone with vision who will give everyone in this district a voice.
