Eighteen years ago, Sen. Bob Casey went to Washington to enact change, but Washington changed him. In my opinion, he no longer represents Pennsylvania but the interests of the coastal elites who are attempting to run every facet of our daily lives. He is now a member of a Congress who cannot hold credible hearings and pass 12 basic appropriation bills. Instead, he is part of a Congress that passes thousand-page bills loaded with provisions he probably hasn’t even read before he runs home for Christmas.

We need a senator who can do the job for Pennsylvania. We need leadership. Dave McCormick proved his leadership as a wrestling captain in high school; a U.S. Army officer; a member of the 82nd Airborne, where he earned a Bronze Star in the Gulf War; a secretary in the U.S. Commerce Department; and CEO of Bridgewater. He also created jobs as the CEO of Free Markets here in Western Pennsylvania.

McCormick has the leadership and knowledge to deal with America’s issues at home and its challenges around the world. Just read his book, “Superpower in Peril: A Battle Plan to Renew America.” I don’t believe Casey has shown leadership for Pennsylvania during his 18 years in the U.S. Senate, and that’s why I will be voting for Dave McCormick.
