Sen. Dave McCormick ran on the promise of serving the interests of all Pennsylvanians. His upcoming vote on the House-passed reconciliation bill will define where he stands and the weight of his word when it comes to our families’ health, dignity and futures. The commonwealth is watching and come Election Day, voters won’t forget his decision.
This bill is nothing short of a direct assault on working Pennsylvanians. It rips health care away from 16 million people by slashing Medicaid and Affordable Care Act insurance plans. It burdens families with red tape, new costs and cruel restrictions. It goes against our shared belief as Pennsylvanians to take care of our neighbors.
If this bill passes, Planned Parenthood health centers would be blocked from billing Medicaid for any services. Planned Parenthood provides care to over 2 million patients nationwide, and more than half of them are covered by Medicaid or Title X.
This bill is a roadmap to higher costs and fewer options. It doesn’t reflect Pennsylvania values. It reflects a political agenda written by and for the wealthiest donors. If McCormick supports it, he’s choosing special interests over the people who sent him to Washington.
Voters see the bigger picture. We know this bill is part of an extremist agenda that sacrifices our health and safety for the benefit of the few. McCormick still has a choice. So do we.
If he votes to take away our care, our food and our future, we will vote to take away his seat.
