Letter to the editor: Mean tweets are nothing compared to Biden's actions
On Jan. 20, 2021, President Biden swore the presidential oath of office that he would “to the best of his ability” preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.
To me, protecting and defending means the citizens of the United States while acting in their best interests.
In the past few weeks as I filled up at the pumps, gas prices had skyrocketed. On day one of assuming office, Biden destroyed by pen stroke our energy independence to appease the woke environmentalists of his party.
Sadly, we now face a humanitarian crisis by Putin with the illegal entry, bombing, persecution and deaths of the Ukraine people — a crisis which possibly could have been averted if Biden had acted months ago on Ukraine’s interest.
Now that he has banned imports of Russian oil, why are Biden and his administration not rescinding the limitations he placed on American energy companies?
As inflation continues to soar due to the unsustainable printing of money, our supply chain issues have yet to be resolved, our southern border is an illegal mess, and criminals seem to have more rights than the police or law- abiding citizens, leaving one to wonder when this will end. The list continues to grow and, as it does, more and more people are being hurt. I guess you can always fall back on the old covid excuse.
All of a sudden the “mean” tweets don’t seem so mean anymore. Do they?
