Letter to the editor: More conservative sources, not Associated Press

I have been a Trib subscriber for almost 50 years. There used to be newspaper choices, but now one must fit all. I subscribe mostly for the local news and obits. I have two questions:

1. Half of your letters to the editor seem to come from people of conservative stance. Over half of registered voters in Westmoreland County are Republican. Could the Trib please feature articles from a conservative source to balance the Associated Press writings which reflect liberal news? I personally refuse to read the AP articles.

2. On Thursdays, the comics change and about 10 strips are replaced with different ones until Monday, when they switch back. Some of the strips are ongoing “stories,” so it gets frustrating when the continuity is not there. Could the Trib please be consistent?
