Letter to the editor: National debt under Trump, Obama
We are constantly hearing about the soaring national debt under Donald Trump. One of my statistics textbooks in college was titled “How to Lie with Statistics,” which seems to be the norm today. Since Trump became president, the average compounded rate of increase of the national debt has been 5.09%. During the Obama years, that same average was 8.72%. Six of Obama’s eight years had a higher percent increase than any since Trump took office. Anyone who really wants the truth can find the real statistics online and verify what I am saying.
