As a resident of Western Pennsylvania, I see that a massive amount of people who are obese despite the decades of attempts to rectify this problem with the old food pyramid. People have had the idea of eating carb-loaded, high-processed foods shoved down their throats.
Why are people criticizing the new food pyramid when it is evident the old version has been an utter failure?
Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s new food pyramid promotes people eating real food, the same kind that our ancestors ate and were fueled by for thousands of years. The new food pyramid and dietary guidelines are based upon millennia of proven success.
We should be thankful that efforts toward being healthier as Americans, and Pennsylvanians, are being made, and embrace them.
