According to Donald Trump, the Department of Homeland Security led by Kristi Noem would utilize ICE to target “the worst of the worst” illegal immigrants for deportation — violent criminals, gang members, murderers, rapists. Hard to argue with that goal.
Instead, what we are seeing are ICE thugs attacking legal protesters. American citizens are being killed for exercising their First Amendment rights. Equally disturbing to me are people who have told me “Those people wouldn’t have been killed if they weren’t out there protesting.” The writer of the letter “Renee Good’s blood on Biden’s hands” (Jan. 15, TribLive) made a convoluted connection to the Biden administration and immigration in an attempt to justify the killing of Renee Good.
Good and Alex Pretti were not immigrants! And the fact that if a regular member of law enforcement discharges their firearm while on duty, they are immediately placed on administrative leave until an investigation determines the details and legitimacy of the shooting. Why is this not taking place?
