Norwin School District needs leaders on its school board who will lead by example and from the front like Christine Baverso, Alex Detschelt, Shawna Ilagan and Ray Kocak. We need leaders like these who support parent engagement and parents’ choice; leaders who are not afraid to fight for our children; leaders who are against indoctrinating our children with nonsense.

Current board president Brian Carlton has belittled, made fun of, intimidated and bullied parents on social media. At a September meeting, board member Pat Lynn told parents who were voicing their concerns over parental engagement regarding face coverings that “if you don’t like it, leave (Norwin).” Having people like them is detrimental to the students, parents and the future of Norwin.

Lynn recently endorsed two candidates, Carrie McConell Muniz and Dana Barvinchak Williams, who are avid supporters of poisoning our kids with divisive ideologies such as critical race theory, all while taking parents’ choice away. This is exactly what we do not need in Norwin.

As a parent and citizen of this community, I implore you to support and vote for hardworking and caring people to serve the students and parents of Norwin: On Nov. 2, vote for Baverso, Detschelt, Ilagan and Kocak.
