The Norwin School District human resources department recently sent out a memorandum to all professional staff outlining procedural changes related to how employees report time off. The memorandum began with, “On behalf of the Norwin Board of Education.”

These procedural changes were not discussed with the school board prior. I am infuriated that my name is associated with something that I was unaware of and provided no input on.

I have no problem with the administration sending out administrative memos, but I do not appreciate my name being associated with them if I was not involved in the decision-making process. Consistently, I express my opinions in public at our board meetings through my discussions and the way I vote.

I would greatly appreciate it if the administration would respect me by not associating my name with anything that I have not had the opportunity to discuss in advance.
