Norwin has a political swamp, too. This letter is serving as my public apology to the Norwin community for endorsing Raymond Kocak for school director.

I financially supported Kocak in his bid. I openly advised the public and worked the polls to get him elected. He was part of the coalition of “Change4Norwin” candidates. Did Kocak do much on his own behalf? I don’t think so; he was pulled in by the help of his running mates and endorsement from the local Republican Party.

At the Dec. 6 school board reorganization meeting, he was sworn in for another term. No sooner did the gavel hit the wooden block to commence the legislative meeting did Kocak proceed to vote the opposite of his campaign mates on almost every issue, especially the retention of solicitor Russell Lucas.

As far as I can see, there is “NO” Change4Norwin. At best, he misled; at worst, he lied to his running mates and supporters. Oh well, two more years of swamp.
