In answer to the letter “Trump’s win will make us safer, more secure” (Nov. 25, TribLive): With due respect to the writer, I ask, what is frivolous about inciting a riot and trying to overturn a legitimate election, falsifying records and mishandling government documents? Not to mention tax evasion, fraud, sexual abuse, mocking war hero Sen. John McCain and calling military people “suckers” and “losers,” mimicking the disabled, telling people immigrants are eating cats and dogs, lying, acting like a dictator and making statements like “Hitler did a lot of good things” and “I need the kind of generals like Hitler had.”

A jury of Donald Trump’s peers found him guilty of 34 felonies. In my opinion, this is not weaponizing. What more proof is necessary?

I believe President Biden’s reference of “garbage” was meant for the garbage spewing out of a so-called comedian’s mouth at a Madison Square Garden Trump rally, not his supporters. While I don’t consider Trump supporters garbage, I must admit that statement has given me pause.
