Many scientists from many countries have many ideas as to the present-day climate change. As I was recently reading the papers and listening to the TV news, I was bewildered as to why the California wildfires did not penetrate into Canada or Mexico. Looking at the maps, there are no wide rivers or walls to prevent these fires from spreading. Perhaps the lands themselves did not encourage the fires to continue because of the absence of wild brush.
Dependence on fossil fuels, which are so abundant especially in Pennsylvania, has allowed us to fuel our electric cars, power our electric grids and open up many well-paying jobs. In California, the dependence on wind and solar power now has resulted in thousands of citizens trying to live without air conditioning and basic electric needs. In contrast, the citizens of Florida enjoy their air conditioning and few electric power outages, as they do not depend only on the solar and wind to provide the electricity.
Our climate is constantly changing. Some countries in the world are doing nothing to prevent pollution on a wide scale. I do not believe American tax dollars will help these countries to suddenly adopt a conscience as to their own role in the world.
