Letter to the editor: Our country is like a church

Our country has become like a church, very “religious.” Here is the proof:

1. We have serious financial problems.

2. We are divided (reopen or not?).

3. For every problem, the leaders are blamed.

4. There are always some obnoxious people who do not cooperate.

5. We learned again that science cannot replace the Almighty — yet.

6. We learned there is no life without sacrifice and that life is not fair.

7. There are false prophets who seem to know better than the professionals what to do.

8. There is mystery in life. How did covid-19 begin?

9. There are innocent victims and unsung heroes. Scientists and heroes are equally needed.

10. We must depend on each other to survive. “I am not a joiner” is a poor excuse.

11. We learned again to stick together and pray. This is neglected when life is easy.

12. The future remains unknown. For a better future, preparation is important.
