We are leaving coming generations a very heavy burden of debt. At some point in the near future this debt will come due and they will be forced to pay.

I am not talking about dollar debt. I am talking about carbon debt. I am talking about the way we live now and how, in the face of pretty solid evidence, we continue to spew carbon into the atmosphere. This debt is not being paid down. When it comes due, it will be a tremendous drag on all economies. It will require more than a little regulation of business. It will require regulation of individuals.

Good luck, future citizens of earth. My prayers are with you.
