The writer of the letter “Flags fly in support of Biden” (Sept. 24, TribLIVE) thanked people for flying the American flag. He regards this patriotic display as a show of support for President Joe Biden. Needless to say, I don’t fly my flag in support of Joe Biden.

“Old Glory” never has and never will represent an individual man. It is a symbol of freedom and justice. No other symbol captures the glory and strength of our nation like the American flag.

He went on to list, in his mind, Biden’s accomplishments, which reminded me of President Obama. Obama said he wanted to “fundamentally change America.” In my opinion, Biden is nothing more than Obama’s third term in office.

Take a trip to the grocery store or the gas station, worry about heating your home this winter — then you will understand how America has been fundamentally changed already by the Biden/Obama administration.

Make no mistake, my American flag flies for the United States of America, not Joe Biden.
