I’d like to address two “opinions” that were so “eloquently ” stated in these pages.
Here’s my question to the writer of the letter “End of the virus or end of Trump letters?” (March 28, TribLIVE): People on your side of the aisle spent four years pouting and doing anything they could to diminish Donald Trump’s presidency. And after the previous eight years, it’s no wonder why. Ours is not pouting; some people take their oath seriously. So you can’t handle two months?
As for the “toys” and “assault weapons” voiced in the letter “More guns means more shootings” (March 28, TribLIVE), if guns were truly the problem, you’d know it. Guns were bought at a record pace last year, and how many mass shootings were there? There are “mass shootings” in certain cities every weekend. Wonder how many of those killers were always law-abiding citizens. If you think the Second Amendment is antiquated, write your next letter with a quill pen and send it on horseback.
The two of you should remember who you should be at least at little bit thankful to, for preserving your right to voice your opinion. Those rights cover all of us, not just the two of you. You don’t get to change them because you don’t like them.
