Letter to the editor: Pa. requires masks in businesses
I agree with everything Kassie Thompson wrote in her letter “Stop being selfish and wear your mask” (June 17, TribLIVE).
In addition, according to Pennsylvania Department of Health guidelines dated June 11, during the green phase, masks are required when entering a business. It seems that most businesses are not enforcing this mandate. Most people seem to feel that masks are now optional. Not so, and the businesses not requiring masks are not following the mandate.
I was told by the manager of one large area store that its corporate office’s policy is to request customers wear masks but not to refuse entry if they do not comply. This store did not have any signs stating masks should be worn, and there was no one at the entrance to request masks be worn.
