People are so wrong about paranoia. It is commonly mistaken for a bad thing, but this writer believes it is a hidden safety feature built into people. Certain people. Me, all right? It’s a trip the way facts and delusions can party together.

Huge sums of money, during the last wily few decades, have been allocated for failing financial institutions and crumbling infrastructure. I may be delusional in conjecturing that the billions of dollars the federal government earmarked for myriad problems crackalackin’ within the infrastructure, whatever that is, may have been used as a slush fund with which to sustain city programs that would have otherwise tanked.

I am hearing that free or subsidized telephone and internet services may shut down, leaving a gazillion poor folk in a communications pickle. I fear Medicaid and Medicare are at risk of defunding. Our fair city may have mishandled cash from the pandemic, as well as dough intended to secure the infrastructure.

Reminding this may be a load of unfounded conjecture, not to worry. I’m not wrapped too tight.
