I find it very interesting that Speaker Nancy Pelosi found it necessary to announce a recall of Congress because of the potential for a postal slowdown. This of course could affect the election results for her party, which is counting large on mail-in voting.

The next stimulus act has been debated hotly for the last few weeks and will affect a large portion of the American people. This is the constituency which Congress was elected to represent. This was not important enough to recall Congress or postpone their recess. They are suffering no immediate economic hardship as they continue getting paid.

It once again highlights the emphasis on party over constituency in Congress.
