Maybe Rep. Eric Davanzo and Sen. Kim Ward like inflation. Their checking accounts sure do: $100,000 a year for what? Our Founding Fathers didn’t envision full-time legislatures. We pay them to fundraise and campaign half the time. Why?

We don’t need to reduce the size of the Legislature. We need to reduce the pay! Don’t forget the $200-a-day per diem. They don’t believe in a fair minimum wage but believe they are worth $100,000 a year. For what? Helping people get services from the state that they shouldn’t need help getting? Fix the state systems so people don’t need help from your office.

Be a legislator; don’t take advantage of people’s need for help for political gain. Don’t set up events for your PR while being paid by the state. Open your eyes, voters. We need to vote these people out and bring in people who will fight for us and fix things that are broken like our property tax system.
