Past U.S. foreign affairs agents did not really want peace in the Mideast. The status quo of there being peace through the threat of war served a political and economic purpose. Politicians served the best interest of the big war-machine industry. Business remained vibrant. Politicians received expected financial donations. Peace was attained via a military capacity balance in the Mideast.

The Middle Eastern leaders had come to not trust American leaders’ means and purposes. Terrorists evolved from this circumstance. They hoped to get Americans involved in stopping their government’s presence in the Middle East. That failed. It spurred more involvement of the American war-weaponry industry, with President George W. Bush’s invading the Middle East.

President Trump believed in peace through prosperity. Those deeply involved in the old business as usual feared and hated him. However, the Middle Eastern leaders recognized this new difference. They wanted to foster its development. Trump’s businessman approach being that of a contract is trusted and accepted. Peace through prosperity will pay off in the long run, but not for the present powers, the war-machine industry and military.

Now we must all unite behind the new era geared for prosperity through peace and our working together for this common cause.
