Nancy Pelosi was speaker of the house in 2008 when she stated a commitment to border security by using options that would work. She also acknowledged the “challenge” of undocumented people in the country and said, “we certainly don’t want any more coming in.”
Ten years later and Pelosi is still talking about the “challenge” of undocumented people. She has made numerous comments to pro-immigration groups supporting amnesty for illegal aliens. She is unfazed in thanking non-citizen parents for illegally entering the country with their children.
She has consistently combined amnesty with border security requests. Is this why she and congressional Democrats are rejecting effective physical barriers?
