Letter to the editor: People ignoring coronavirus dangers

Amazing, the stupidity of the general population. Even though words of caution were presented when states eased restrictions and allowed some businesses to reopen, too many threw caution to the wind. Personal desires for a drink or dining out have contributed to the resurgence of covid-19 on a nationwide level. Did people not think about eating and drinking requiring removal of a mask? When the mask is removed and social distancing protocol is not adhered to — guess what?

Our own region is an example. Gov. Tom Wolf and Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine cautioned the public that going from the yellow to the green phase did not mean that the danger was eliminated. How many paid attention? The result is obvious — a resurgence.
