More migrants are showing up at our borders. Now our president seems to want to make sure we cannot buy guns or ammunition to protect ourselves. He also wants those who are killed by assault weapons to be able to sue gun manufacturers. What about those other assault weapons that people are being killed by — cars, hammers, baseball bats, knives? Why is he picking on just one group of manufacturers?
Why can’t we just execute these killers instead of locking them up? Executing them would help deter killings (at least no repeat killings). How much money would we save? Jobs lost at prisons?
We let prisoners out on good behavior, then many of them commit crimes again. Will their victims be let out of their graves to start living their lives again? We know that’s not going to happen; they will be there forever.
When will we make people responsible for their crimes instead of the objects they used? When gun stores do a “government instant check” on every gun sale and get an “OK,” will anyone be able to sue the U.S. government for its failure?
