In regards to the recent use of vulgarities coming from some of our politicians: What is it going to take for these representatives to come to terms with their lack of grasping the English language? I’m not a prude, but I do know when and where this type of behavior might be acceptable.

When I was growing up, my friends and I never used the vulgar references being used today around women and adults. It was always quietly discussed. I considered it to be respect. Now it seems that these elite political representatives believe it to be the only way they can get their point across.

The most disturbing example was Gov. Josh Shapiro describing his hate for Secretary of War Pete Hegseth. Think what you want to about the man he hates, but Shapiro showed me his intelligence level. I would appreciate the chance to keep a portion of my grandchildren’s innocence, but it doesn’t look like we will ever be able to achieve this by the way we communicate.

I would appreciate a solemn apology from our governor to the residents of Pennsylvania for his lack of control. We all know he has children. Is he OK with using vulgarities toward federal government appointees while his family looks on? I hope not.
