Letter to the editor: Politics & covid-19 pandemic decisions

Tribune-Review
| Thursday, March 26, 2020 9:00 a.m.

I would guess that 35% of the people in the Tribune-Review readership fully, and I mean fully, support President Trump. Any information contrary to the president’s views is false or a hoax. Why would they believe that? Simple: The president told them it is so. If they need further assurance, they can watch Fox News.

This 35% quite probably can be called “uninformed.” Even those who feel they are informed probably have spent some years not paying much attention to politics while they focused on employment.

Well folks, we are now part of a pandemic. Presidential actions, filtered politically, have been slow and mixed. You need to assess if you were sold a “bill of goods” by Trump. This is far too serious to use political propaganda to make your decisions. They are now life and death.
