Regarding James Kvitkovich’s letter “Trib is fair and balanced” (July 2, TribLIVE): Yes, the Trib is fair and balanced, but the Associated Press is not. I suspect the Trib doesn’t have much of a choice for national and world news?

In my letter “Are you a political fool?” (June 5, TribLIVE), I stated that I trust the Trib’s local stories but disregarded all of the AP’s biased stories. Sports used to be nonpolitical, but now it’s woke and going broke.

Regarding “mining industry publications”: Offhand I wouldn’t think of these as political, but there is politics in everything published.

The Economist magazine? It’s a globalist magazine, and I am for America. Some headlines from The Economist: “Free Money” (You pay the Feds a dollar and get less than 10 cents back); “Xi’s new economy. Don’t underestimate it.” (Isn’t Red China wonderful?); “Redesigning life: The promise and perils of synthetic biology” (Are you crazy?).

“Mainstream TV media”? I read several recent articles that said the U.S. mainstream media is the least trusted in the world. NPR and PBS? They border on being Marxist rags paid for with our tax money.

Yes, Mr. Kvitkovich, you could be a political fool.
