I’ve enjoyed reading the recent letters regarding God. After losing my father as a young man, I’ve spent many hours contemplating God, reading spiritual texts and seeking truth. Twenty-five years ago, I discovered Raymond Moody’s book “Life after Life,” in which he interviewed numerous people who had medically documented near-death experiences. It was a life-changing read.

Today, you can watch YouTube channels dedicated to these people telling their stories. I estimate that I’ve read or listened to approximately 300 or so by now. The awesome part is that Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists and atheists all return from the other side telling very similar stories — stories of a God that is pure source love, who loves all unconditionally. Before being revived and coming back into their physical bodies, many are shown how our eternal souls are on the journey to return to that source.

That journey gets more difficult, though, when our earthly experience is spent dwelling in fear, anger, jealousy, blame, judgment, hate and division, instead of love. Google says over 4,000 religions, faith groups and denominations exist. All 4,000 think their truth is correct. I say, you want to understand God? Practice unconditional love.
