Letter to the editor: Presidential candidates should consider state of America

Tribune-Review

As America sinks into a cesspool of sexual degeneracy and child-grooming, an invasion at our southern border, unbridled crime, mass homelessness, and hordes of mentally ill and addicted, $175 billion has gone to fund a distant proxy war that our government artfully kindled — specifically, former Undersecretary of State neocon zealot Victoria Nuland — by orchestrating a coup and installing Volodymyr Zelenskyy as the U.S.-deferential president of Ukraine.

It is not the first time Nuland has dabbled in the destabilization of world affairs. Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan all lend a crimson blush to her resume. She has delighted in brutal overthrows and stuffing billions upon billions of taxpayer dollars down the gullet of the military-industrial complex.

Nuland has faced no reckoning for the body count, nor our politicians for the costly fleecing of a ravaged America.

I suggest the 2024 candidates take a walking tour through this unfiltered America. Filthy and run down, it reeks of urine and is smeared with feces. And the perforated citizenry are hunched over in zombified euphoria: In an underpass, public library bathroom stall — in front of CVS, a needle is left jutting from a bare, grimy foot, and as unfazed pedestrians walk by, a head droops to the ground into unconsciousness.

Perhaps, candidates, after the tour, you will recall the foremost duty of an American president. Perhaps then you will deserve my vote.
