My husband and I are both of Eastern European heritage. My grandparents and great-grandparents emigrated from Poland. My husband’s grandparents emigrated from Poland and Slovakia. Regarding the war in Ukraine, never have we been more proud of our Polish and Slovak roots and embarrassed by the actions of our president at this devastating time in history.
