Regarding the letter “We should all be proud of who we are” (June 18, TribLIVE): OK, Proud people, is this what you are so proud of?

Chanting in your parades, “We’re here! We’re queer! We’re coming for your children!” Or perhaps riding stark naked on bicycles. Letting it all hang out? Or maybe grabbing each others’ privates in public? Are you proud of this?

You all must be proud of yourselves. Simply amazing.

No one is out to kill you. You are killing yourselves.

Do us decent folks a favor. Keep it in your homes and bedrooms. Nobody cares what you do in the privacy of your own places.

And quit crying wolf where there is no wolf.

Thank goodness the Fourth of July finally arrived, when we can celebrate true freedoms.
