Regarding letter-writer Rodger Henderson’s remarks about good buddies Putin and Trump and about the situation in Ukraine (“Peacemakers will restore order,” March 14, TribLIVE).

To everyone who is afraid of it, I’d like to assure them that this war will not lead to nuclear war mainly because Putin, while damn-straight crazy, is not suicidal. I don’t believe he wants World War III any more than we do. All he has to do is continue bombing his way through Ukraine and then set his sights on Poland. Who’s going to stop him?

The Ukrainians are tough people, but they’re seriously underarmed and undermanned. Good luck to them.

The Ukrainian president has had it with innocent, defenseless women and children being blown up all over the country. This should not be happening, and if they had a no-fly zone, it wouldn’t be.

I believe President Biden is actually afraid of Russia. Keep in mind that we have never had a war with them. There’s no guarantee that we would win a conventional war. The good guys don’t always win. About all we can do is hope and pray that good will triumph over evil.
