Letter to the editor: Question candidates about election, Jan. 6

Journalists need to ask candidates two fundamental questions:

1. Was Joe Biden legitimately elected Nov. 3, 2020, in a free and fair election?

2. Were the events of Jan. 6, 2021 at the U.S. Capitol “legitimate political discourse,” or were they a violent insurrection aimed at preventing the peaceful transfer of power?
