Letter to the editor: Questioning representatives' 'nay' votes on Laken Riley act

Tribune-Review

To the three Pennsylvania congressional Democrats having the distinction of casting “nay” votes for the Laken Riley Act, but most importantly to Summer Lee and Christopher Deluzio (the former previously was my representative in District 14, the latter my current representative due to realignment).

Having been born and raised in Altoona (moving to Pittsburgh in 1973), I would like to introduce to you Alfred Mignogna, Frederick Rickabaugh Sr. and Stephen Heiss. But you see, I can’t; they are all dead.

Who I can introduce you to is Miguel Padilla, the SOB who shot and killed them in 2005, an illegal immigrant who lived across the street from my mother in Altoona.

Shoplifter? Maybe. Drug dealer? Of certainty. Padilla is identified as Inmate GZ7459, former resident of SCI-Greene, SCI-Phoenix and current SCI-Somerset.

Lee and Deluzio, since you both have legal backgrounds, I look forward to your shared jurisprudence supporting your Laken Riley nays.

Perhaps Padilla can share with you his lament at not having President Biden’s Motel 6 Policy: “We’ll Leave a Light On and Free Bus Pass to City of Your Choosing” in force when he was on Rumspringa. Maybe he could be languishing in swank New York digs or an Aurora, Colo., condo on a monthly replenished Biden debit card!
