There seem to be a few questions not asked or addressed in the article “Confrontation erupts at anti-ICE protest in Springdale” (Feb. 14, TribLive).

First, just a reminder that Springdale is a part of the United States, therefore subject to the country’s immigration laws.

Also, when you miss a court date, in most cases an arrest warrant is issued. This is the fault of Randy Cordova-Flores. It’s not like it was an expired inspection hearing. This was to decide if he stayed in the country. This makes me wonder if there’s not more to this story than what this article is telling us.

The idea is to let the process play out, not rush to round up a bunch of “protesters” and throw a tantrum on the streets.

Another question: Were the protesters all Springdale residents or were any outside “agitators” present? The article said Amy Sarno, an Allegheny Valley School Board member, encouraged attendees not to engage with agitators. Boy, you sure struck out swinging on that one! An accident along with an injury to a woman from falling. Wonder how the school district and other school board members feel about having that association being splashed into this article? Hope the voters remember in the next election. The article states that you plan to continue until they do it your way. Toss the laws out the window, I guess.

As far as immigration, Ms. Sarno, spare me your lecture. There’s a house on South North Street that my great-grandfather built, after he came here from Hungary. The legal way.
