We’ve been struggling through this pandemic for months. Now we have over 40 million people out of work, and some may not go back to work. People are having a hard time feeding their families and paying bills.
And through these hard times, school boards are raising taxes.
Maybe they ought to ask the teachers to give back the wages they received for not teaching our students in person for 3½ months.
Many schools still haven’t figured out how to hold classes for the coming school year. There may be teacher layoffs.
Do our local school boards have any common sense? People are hurting; can’t they see that?
